Wallkill's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Zoe Mesuch, who scored 19 points along with seven rebounds. That was a full 38% of Wallkill's points, marking the sixth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Sam Dembinsky was another key contributor, scoring 11 points along with five rebounds.
Wallkill's loss ended a four-game streak of wins at home and dropped them to 13-4. As for Our Lady of Lourdes, their victory was their fifth straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 15-1.
