Lake Region have had to suffer through a 4-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. They put the hurt on Gray-New Gloucester with a sharp 35-12 victory. Lake Region were expected to win, but the margin was definitely larger than the state rankings had forecast.
The win bumped Lake Region's record up to 1-4. Gray-New Gloucester are still searching for that first win as they fell to 0-5.
Next week Lake Region take on Yarmouth at 7:00 PM. Yarmouth took a loss in their last game and are no doubt out to reverse Lake Region's good fortune. Gray-New Gloucester will be staying on the road, facing off against Maranacook. Neither of these teams wants a repeat from their last game since each was dealt a considerable loss.
