Highlands waltzed into their matchup on Monday with three straight wins... but they left with four. Everything went their way against the Lloyd Memorial Juggernauts as they made off with a 12-2 victory. That's more bragging rights for the Bluebirds, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Brooks Hendrix made a big impact no matter where he played. On the mound, he struck out six batters over three innings while giving up just two earned runs off two hits. Hendrix was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one stolen base. That's the most hits he has posted since back in March.

In other batting news, Highlands let Noah Lahner and Garrett Wiggins run wild. Lahner went 1-for-2 with one home run and three runs, while Wiggins went a perfect 2-for-2 with two runs, one stolen base, and two RBI. Those two RBI gave Wiggins a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Nolan Schwalbach, who went 1-for-2 with two runs and one stolen base.

Highlands always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .545. That's the best OBP they've posted all season.

Highlands pushed their record up to 13-5-2 with the win, which was their third straight on the road. The road victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 15.0 runs over those games. As for Lloyd Memorial, they now have a losing record of 6-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Highlands will face off against Scott at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. The Eagles' pitching crew has only allowed 3.4 runs per game this season, so the Bluebirds' hitters will have their work cut out for them. As for Lloyd Memorial, they will square off against Holmes at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. The Juggernauts are facing the Bulldogs at the right time seeing as the Bulldogs are stuck on a three-game losing streak.
