Midview had already won two in a row and they went ahead and made it three on Tuesday. They walked away with a 10-7 victory over the Keystone Wildcats. The high-flying hitting performance was a huge turnaround for the Middies considering their two-run performance the game before.
Jillian Vandersluis was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, tossing seven innings while giving up three earned (and four unearned) runs off ten hits. Vandersluis was even better at the plate, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three runs, and three RBI.
In other batting news, Savannah Presser was excellent, going 2-for-4 with two doubles and two RBI. The team also got some help courtesy of Liv Keenan, who went 2-for-4 with two RBI, one run, and one double.
Midview's record now sits at 13-5. As for Keystone, their defeat dropped their record down to 14-4.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Midview will welcome Elyria at 4:45 p.m. on Wednesday. The last five games the Pioneers have played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one. As for Keystone, they will look to defend their home field on Friday against Walsh Jesuit at 5:00 p.m.
