It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact Patuxent can now relate to. They came up short against  the McDonough Rams on Thursday, falling  10-4. The Panthers' defeat signaled the end of their five-game winning streak.
 Hannah Bruno was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. On the mound, she  struck out eight batters over  seven innings while giving up  seven earned  (and three unearned) runs off   seven  hits. She has been consistent: she hasn't  tossed less than six  strikeouts in six consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box,  going a perfect 4-for-4 with two  runs and one  triple.
 In other batting news,  Jasmine Somerville was cooking despite her team's loss,   getting on base  in three of her four plate appearances with three  stolen bases and one  RBI.  Shannon Rullman was another key player,  going 1-for-3 with one  triple and one  run.
Patuxent's loss dropped their record down to 7-9-1. As for McDonough,  with the  victory, they broke their three-game losing streak and moved their record to 8-10.
As of now, neither Patuxent nor the Rams have any future games scheduled.
