The Anderson Titans had already won three in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 18.3 points), and they went ahead and made it four on Friday. They breezed by Roosevelt at home to the tune of 56-7. The result was nothing new for Anderson, who have now won four games by 25 points or more so far this season.
Anderson's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Chase Barbosa led the charge by rushing for 84 yards and two touchdowns on only ten carries. Another player making a difference was Jackson Steel sage, who threw for 121 yards and two touchdowns while completing 100% of his passes.
Anderson's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 7-3. Admittedly, the team didn't face the toughest opposition across those games, namely Roosevelt, Lincoln Park, and Taylor. As for Roosevelt, they have been struggling recently, as they've lost five of their last six games, which put a noticeable dent in their 3-6 record this season.
Anderson will be playing at home against River Rouge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in River Rouge's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four contests. Roosevelt does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
