Nipmuc Regional gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Saturday. They breezed past the Dover-Sherborn Raiders to the tune of 43-7. This was payback for the Warriors, who suffered a 33-0 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Josh Giancola was a one-man wrecking crew as he rushed for 37 yards and a pair of scores, and also threw for 162 yards and two TDs while completing 92.3% of his passes. That's the most passing yards he has posted since back in October of 2024. Nipmuc Regional's leading receiver Johnny Desmond was Giancola's top target yet again, picking up 45 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Dover-Sherborn is on an eight-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-2.

Nipmuc Regional is packing up and heading out for their first away game of the season: they will face off against Uxbridge at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
