The Battle Creek Academy Tigers's game last Tuesday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Thursday. They took down Sacred Heart Academy 29-14.
Battle Creek Academy found their leader in underclassman Sofia Keller, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 15 rebounds. That makes it 15 consecutive games in which Keller has scored at least a third of Battle Creek Academy's points. Olivia Keller was another key contributor, scoring five points along with seven rebounds and four blocks.
Battle Creek Academy has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-5 record this season. As for Sacred Heart Academy, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-2.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Battle Creek Academy will take on St. Philip Catholic Central at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. St. Philip Catholic Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Sacred Heart Academy, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Calvary Christian at 5:30 p.m. on February 22nd.
