The Granada Hills Charter Highlanders are on the road again on Friday and play against the Kennedy Cougars at 7:00 p.m. on December 1st. Hopefully Granada Hills Charter focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on Saturday.
Last Saturday, Granada Hills Charter faced South in a battle between two of the state's top teams. Granada Hills Charter strolled past South with points to spare, taking the game 65-51.
Granada Hills Charter can attribute much of their success to Marc Cherfan, who scored 21 points along with 6 rebounds, and Felipe Achoyan, who scored 17 points along with 5 rebounds and 4 steals. The game was Cherfan's fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Dylan Vo, who scored 6 points along with 7 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Kennedy came up short against Calabasas two weeks ago and fell 60-48. Kennedy has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
The wins kept both teams' perfect 4-0 season records intact.
Granada Hills Charter came up short against Kennedy in their previous meeting back in December of 2022, falling 70-64. Can Granada Hills Charter avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
