It was a good run, but the CSTHEA P Patriots unfortunately witnessed the end of their four-game winning streak on Friday. They took a serious blow against Chattanooga Prep, falling 79-36. The loss unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for CSTHEA P in their matchups with Chattanooga Prep: they've now lost five in a row.
CSTHEA P's defeat shouldn't obscure the performances of Ryan Swanson, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 11 rebounds, and Jonathan Swanson who scored five points along with three steals. Swanson set a new season high mark in blocks with two.
CSTHEA P struggled to work together and finished the game with only four assists. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Chattanooga Prep racked up 17 assists.
Chattanooga Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Ta'Suade Williams, who scored 20 points along with seven steals and six rebounds. Williams set a new season high mark in points with 20. The team also got some help courtesy of Eli Gaines, who scored 18 points along with five assists and three steals.
CSTHEA P's loss dropped their record down to 7-5. As for Chattanooga Prep, they pushed their record up to 4-3 with that victory, which was their eighth straight at home dating back to last season.
CSTHEA P won't have much time to rest: their next game is against Bluegrass at 4:00 p.m. on December 9th. Bluegrass has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 203 points over their last three contests. As for Chattanooga Prep, they will head out on the road to face off against Pickett County at 7:00 p.m. on Monday.
