 Esko wouldn't go down easily and took Duluth East into a fifth set  but they suffered a heartbreaking two-point loss. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 23-25, 25-21, 19-25, 25-19,  15-13.
  Evelyn Viney was the offensive standout of the  match as she  had 14  digs and five assists. That's the most  digs  she has posted  over her last six  matchups.  Ruby Zubich also deserves some recognition as  she  posted her first  assists of the season.
Esko's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Duluth East, they have  been performing  incredibly well recently as they've  won 11 of their last 12 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 15-5 record  this season.
 Esko will challenge Greenway at 7:00  p.m.  on Saturday. As for Duluth East, they wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next  match,  a  3-0  win against Denfeld on the 7th.
