Ketah Watson touchdown run in the first quarter.
Valley Lutheran expanded its lead to 17 points entering the fourth quarter. VL's lone score in the quarter came on a rushing touchdown.
Watson and Gabrielson ran for a bunch of touchdowns for the Knights.
Gilbert Christian's
Trey Gass was the standout player for his team. The senior ran for one touchdown. His performance brought his touchdown total to three on the year.
Gabrielson stood out for the Phoenix school in the win. The senior running back kicked one field goal and three extra points. He has now scored six touchdowns on the season.
The Flames also won the meeting between the two teams last season, 17-12.
The defeat comes as a step back for Gilbert Christian, which notched a 62-14 victory over Superior in its previous outing. The loss snapped GC's 3-game winning streak. With the win Valley Lutheran extended its winning streak to four games.
Valley Lutheran (4-0) will play a VI Section III (8 Man) game against Gila Bend next week, while Gilbert Christian (3-1) will take on Scottsdale Prep also in a VI Section III (8 Man) game.
