The Eastern Eagles will take on the Christian Educational Consortium Cougars at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Both come into the contest bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Eastern took a loss when they played away from home on Wednesday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Monday. They came out on top against Central Hardin by a score of 6-3 (the very same score they lost by in their prior game). The victory was some much needed relief for the Eagles as it spelled an end to their three-game losing streak.
Aidan Calhoun made a splash while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he tossed six innings while giving up three earned runs off six hits. What's more, he posted four strikeouts, the most he's had over his last four matchups. He was also big at the plate, going 1-for-2 with one run, one double, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Tyler Cansler was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs, two doubles, and one stolen base. Those three hits gave him a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Carson Shee, who went 1-for-3 with one run, one double, and one RBI.
Eastern was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .393. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Central Hardin only posted a batting average of .200.
Meanwhile, Christian Educational Consortium earned a 5-1 win over LKY on Friday.
Christian Educational Consortium is on a roll lately: they've won four of their last five games. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-15 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 9.8 runs over those games. As for Eastern, their win bumped their record up to 19-12.
Eastern took their victory against Christian Educational Consortium in their previous meeting back in March of 2024 by a conclusive 14-0 score. Will the Eagles repeat their success, or do the Cougars have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
