Robertsdale was dealt a 71-42 defeat at the hands of Spanish Fort on Tuesday. Robertsdale has not had much luck with Spanish Fort recently, as the team's come up short the last three times they've met.
Despite the loss, Robertsdale still got an impressive performance from Gabe Stevens, who scored eight points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Leading Spanish Fort to victory were Andre Winston and Lucca Nelson. Winston scored 15 points along with seven rebounds, while Nelson scored 15 points along with six steals. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Winston has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Patrick Nelson, who scored six points along with eight rebounds and two steals.
Robertsdale has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost six of their last seven matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 11-14 record this season. As for Spanish Fort, their victory ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 11-13.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Robertsdale will square off against Citronelle at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Spanish Fort, they will head out on the road to face off against Saraland at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Saraland will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Alabama Rankings (they are ranked 329th, while Spanish Fort is ranked 157th).
