The Chatham Central Bears stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They claimed a resounding 82-54 win over Graham on the road. Winning may never get old, but Chatham Central sure is getting used to it with their fifth in a row.
Reid Albright was his usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 11 rebounds. He is on a roll when it comes to steals, as he's now grabbed two or more in the last 17 games he's played. Jacob Gilliland was another key contributor, dropping a double-double on 18 points and 17 rebounds.
Several Red Devils players turned in solid performances despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Micah Woods, who scored 23 points. That was a full 42.6% of Graham's points, marking the fourth time in a row he's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Jaylan Sinclair, who scored 17 points.
Chatham Central's victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 17-2. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 75.7 points per game. As for Graham, they are on a nine-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-18.
Chatham Central will head out on the road to square off against Jordan-Matthews at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Chatham Central has been getting the ball to fall more lately as they've increased their point totals each of their last three games. As for Graham, they will head out on the road to take on Northwood at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Northwood will be up against Graham's rather soft defense (which has allowed 72.16 points per contest), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing.
