Two dominant backs in Andrew Trevino and Robert Evans are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Foothill Trojans will face off against the Rosamond Roadrunners at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Foothill is coming into the game hot, having won their last three games.
Foothill will bounce into Friday's matchup after beating Golden Valley, who they had gone 0-5 against in their five prior meetings. The Trojans took down the Bulldogs 44-28 on Friday.

Foothill got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Ismael Ramirez out in front who threw for 170 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 passes. Ramirez is becoming a predictor of the Trojans' success: when he posts at least three passing touchdowns the team is undefeated (and 2-3 when he doesn't). Isaiah Daniels was in the mix too, providing Foothill with two TDs.
Foothill was unstoppable on the ground and finished the game with 241 rushing yards. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now rushed for at least 192 rushing yards in six consecutive contests.
Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Rosamond). They took their game on Thursday with ease, bagging a 56-6 victory over Desert. The win continues a trend for the Roadrunners in their matchups with the Scorpions: they've now won five in a row.
Rosamond's win came from a few key players Foothill will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was Marvin Alvarado, who rushed for 15 yards and one score, and also threw for 80 yards and one touchdown on only seven passes.
Special teams played a big role in the game for Rosamond, adding 12 points to the final score. The biggest highlight from special teams (and perhaps the team as a whole) came courtesy of Jerimiah Rowens, who ran a kickoff back for a touchdown.
Foothill's record now sits at 7-3. As for Rosamond, their record is now 4-6.
Friday's matchup might be decided on the ground. Foothill has been unstoppable on the ground this season, having averaged 239.1 rushing yards per game. However, it's not like Rosamond struggles in that department as they've been averaging 171.3 rushing yards. There's a good chance Friday's contest turns into a tough fight on the ground.
Everything went Foothill's way against Rosamond in their previous meeting back in September, as Foothill made off with a 54-30 victory. Do the Trojans have another victory up their sleeve, or will the Roadrunners turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
