Rivendell Academy was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Twinfield apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in February of 2019.
Despite the defeat, Rivendell Academy saw an underclassman step up: Lily Murray scored 15 points along with four steals and four blocks. Mason Fahey was another key contributor, scoring four points along with nine rebounds and four steals.
Rivendell Academy's defeat was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-3. Those losses could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 19.7 points per game. As for Twinfield, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.
Rivendell Academy will be home for the holidays to greet Hartford at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in their respective states (Hartford is ranked 11th in Vermont, while Rivendell Academy is ranked 20th in New Hampshire). As for Twinfield, they will head out on the road to face off against Peoples Academy at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
