Baseball Recap: Wednesday's Victory Is Simon Kenton's Third in Last Four Outings

It may have taken eight innings to finish the job, but Simon Kenton ultimately got the result they hoped for on Wednesday. They walked away with a 7-4 win over the St. Henry Crusaders. This was a revenge game for the Pioneers: when they faced off against the Crusaders back in April, they had to take a 7-6 loss.

Simon Kenton saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Logan Judd, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one triple, and two RBI. That's the most RBI Judd has posted since back in April. Ayden Lockhart also deserves some recognition as he brought in his first RBI of the season.

Simon Kenton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 16-9-3 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for St. Henry, with the defeat, they broke their seven-game winning streak and moved their record to 11-16.

Looking ahead, Simon Kenton will be playing at home against Highlands at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. As for St. Henry, they are taking a road trip to face off against Cooper at 5:00 p.m. on Thursday.
