Haizen Reidhead made a splash while hitting and pitching. He looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only two hits while striking out seven over five innings pitched. Those seven strikeouts gave him a new career-high. He was also solid in the batter's box, going 2-for-3 with two runs, one triple, and one double. That triple marked the first that he hit this season.
In other batting news, Max Monsen was incredible, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3. Another player making a difference was Brasser Crumpton, who scored a run and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances.
ALA - Queen Creek always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .605. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Combs only posted an OBP of .222.
Meanwhile, Cactus Shadows entered their tilt with Coronado on Friday with three consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with four. They blew past the Dons 19-2.
Aidan Klinefelter looked comfortable as he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits.
At the plate, the team relied heavily on Owen Konerko, who went 2-for-3 with three runs, four RBI, and one triple. Evan Hanish was another key player, going a perfect 1-for-1 with one home run, two runs, and two RBI.
Cactus Shadows' victory was their tenth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 17-1-1. Those home wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.5 runs on average over those games. As for ALA - Queen Creek, their victory bumped their record up to 16-1.
