The Century Centurions scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Thursday. They really took it to Joppa-Maple Grove for the full four quarters, racking up a 84-19 win at home. The result was nothing new for Century, who have now won six games by 30 points or more so far this season.
Century's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Ashton Dillow led the charge by dropping a double-double on 19 points and 11 rebounds. The contest was Dillow's 12th in a row with at least ten points. Desarae Blake was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with nine rebounds.
Century pushed their record up to 11-2 with that victory, which was their seventh straight at home. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 61.9 points per game. As for Joppa-Maple Grove, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-4.
Century won't have much time to rest: their next match is against East Prairie at 4:30 p.m. on December 15th. Joppa-Maple Grove will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Pope County at 6:00 p.m. on January 3, 2024.
