It was a good run, but the Princeton Tigers unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They lost to Greenbrier East on the road by a decisive 66-51 margin. Princeton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Greenbrier East apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2023.
Princeton lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Abbey Honaker, who scored nine points. Another player making a difference was Maddie Stull, who scored six points along with six rebounds and two blocks.
Princeton's defeat dropped their record down to 12-5. As for Greenbrier East, they are on a roll lately: they've won 13 of their last 14 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 16-4 record this season.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Princeton will take on Woodrow Wilson at 7:00 p.m. on Saturday. Woodrow Wilson is coming into the matchup with three straight defeats on the road, meaning Princeton will have to defend against a team hungry for a win. As for Greenbrier East, they will play host again and welcome Grafton, where tip off is scheduled for 7:30 p.m. on Saturday. Greenbrier East has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 211 points over their last three matchups.
