The Grulla Gators scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They claimed a resounding 82-1 win over Harmony School of Innovation on the road. That looming 82-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Grulla yet this season.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Grulla to victory, but perhaps none more so than Marbella Orduno, who almost dropped a triple-double on nine points, 11 assists, and 12 steals. Those 11 assists set a new season-high mark for her. Ailynn Solis was another key contributor, scoring 21 points along with four steals.
Grulla's victory bumped their record up to 9-10. As for Harmony School of Innovation, they still haven't won a game yet this season and fell to 0-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Grulla will take on Port Isabel at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. Port Isabel is hoping to put an end to a five-game streak of away losses. Harmony School of Innovation will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Raymondville at 5:30 p.m. on January 23rd.
