On Friday, Shabach Christian Academy was just a bucket shy of victory and fell 53-52 to Miller School of Albemarle. While losing is never fun, Shabach Christian Academy can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps's basketball rankings in their respective home states (they are ranked 37th in Maryland, while Miller School of Albemarle is ranked fifth in Virginia).
Ryan Crotty continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines for Miller School of Albemarle, scoring 25 points along with six rebounds and two steals. Reece Hagy was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and two blocks.
This is the second loss in a row for Shabach Christian Academy and nudges their season record down to 15-12. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they have been performing well recently as they've won ten of their last 12 games, which provided a nice bump to their 14-4 record this season.
Shabach Christian Academy's road trip will continue as they head out to face Oak Hill Academy at 7:00 p.m. on January 29th. As for Miller School of Albemarle, they won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against The Burlington School at 2:15 p.m. on January 27th.
