Hattie Brzon was huge while hitting and pitching even without the win. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run over four innings pitched. Brzon was also solid in the batter's box, scoring a run while going 1-for-2.
In other batting news, Grae Siemsen was cooking despite her team's loss, scoring a run and stealing two bases while getting on base in two of her four plate appearances.
Republic County's loss dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Valley Heights, their victory bumped their record up to 13-8.
