Basketball Recap: Make It Four in a Row for Duncan

Duncan extended their winning streak to four games thanks to a huge performance from Paisley Patton. The Duncan Wildkats put the hurt on the Hayden Lobos with a sharp 33-12 win on Tuesday thanks in part to Patton, who posted 11 points in addition to seven steals and six rebounds. That's the most steals she has posted since back in December of 2024.

Lily Ford was another key player, putting up two points and five steals. She is on a roll when it comes to steals, as she's now grabbed two or more in the last four games she's played.

Despite the loss, Hayden had strong showings from Trinity Collier, who scored three points and four steals, and Dallas Mariscal, who put up three points along with six boards and three steals. Maria Sanchez also deserves some recognition as she grabbed her first steals of the season.

Duncan has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 games, which provided a nice bump to their 18-4 record this season. Those victories came thanks to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 21.1 points per game. As for Hayden, they have traveled a rocky road recently having lost ten of their last 13 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-10 record this season.

Duncan wasted no time getting back out on the court and has already played their next contest, a 42-23 victory against Santa Rita on the 29th. Hayden has also already played their next game, a 49-32 defeat against Valley Lutheran on the 30th.
