The Harvard Hornets will challenge the Lakes Eagles at 4:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Harvard is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7 runs per game this season.

Last Saturday, Harvard got the win against Rockford Auburn by a conclusive 11-1. The Hornets haven't had any issues with the Knights recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive victory against them.

The team relied heavily on Landon Crone, who scored two runs and stole two bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. What's more, he posted two RBI, the most he's had since back in March of 2024. Jacob Finfrock was another key player, scoring three runs while going 3-for-3.

Harvard always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .581. The team's really been improving in that area: they've now improved their OBP total in three consecutive contests.

Meanwhile, winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Lakes). They came out on top against Webb City by a score of 7-4 on Thursday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Eagles.

Harvard's record is now 2-3. As for Lakes, they now have a winning record of 3-2.

Harvard suffered a grim 13-0 defeat to Lakes in their previous matchup back in March of 2024. Can Harvard avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
