Salt and Light Homeschool has struggled against Houston Christian recently, as their contest on Thursday was their third consecutive lost matchup.
Despite the loss, Salt and Light Homeschool still got an impressive performance from Mikaela Curtis, who scored 24 points along with six rebounds. That was a full 53.3% of Salt and Light Homeschool's points, marking the fifth time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Ava Nelson, who scored eight points.
Salt and Light Homeschool now has a losing record at 13-14. As for Houston Christian, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-9.
Salt and Light Homeschool will look to defend their home court on Friday against Austin Royals HomeSchool at 7:30 p.m. Houston Christian won't have much time to rest: their next game is against St. Stephen's Episcopal at 5:30 p.m. on January 19th. Hopefully St. Stephen's Episcopal focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 13 last Tuesday.
