 Taft was getting hits left and right  and  finished the game having  posted a batting average of .462. They are  a perfect 3-0 when  they post a batting average of .375 or better.
The  win  got Taft back to even at 3-3. As for Atherton, they moved to 3-6 with that  defeat, which also ended their three-game winning streak.
 Looking ahead, Taft will welcome Whitley County  at 1:00  p.m.  on Wednesday. As for Atherton, they will head out on the road to  square off against  Assumption  at 5:30  p.m.  on Tuesday.
