Lake Marion was dealt a 72-42 loss at the hands of Bishop England. Lake Marion has not had much luck with Bishop England recently, as the team's come up short the last six times they've met.
Lake Marion's loss came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Patrick Guest, who scored 12 points along with eight rebounds and three steals. Guest has been hot recently, having posted two or more steals the last three times he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Mason Miles, who scored ten points along with six rebounds.
Lake Marion has traveled a rocky road recently, as they've lost seven of their last eight games, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-11 record this season. As for Bishop England, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 11-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Lake Marion will take on Timberland at 5:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Timberland is still on the hunt for that elusive first 'W'. Bishop England won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Wando at 4:00 p.m. on January 6th. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in South Carolina (Wando is ranked 48th, while Bishop England is ranked 63rd).
