The Princeton Eagles came tearing into Tuesday's contest with eight straight wins (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 26.1 points) and they left with even more momentum. Everything went their way against Providence as Princeton made off with a 67-42 win. Princeton had a senior duo take command as Corwyn Roberson dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 rebounds and Junior Andrade scored 22 points along with six assists and two steals. Andrade is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 16 every time he's taken the court this season. Another player making a difference was Tito Reynoso, who scored 11 points along with two steals.
Princeton pushed their record up to 18-1 with that win, which was their 12th straight at home dating back to last season. As for Providence, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost five of their last six matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 2-7 record this season.
Princeton won't have much time to rest: their next game is against the Grizzlies at 5:30 p.m. on January 31st. As for Providence, they will look to defend their home court on Thursday against the Cougars at 6:30 p.m.
