The Prairie View Thunderhawks lost to the Golden Demons back in December of 2022, but the Prairie View Thunderhawks didn't allow the Golden Demons the same satisfaction on Saturday. Prairie View snuck past Golden with a 39-35 win.
Celicia Robles was her usual excellent self, scoring 25 points. The match was her fourth in a row with at least ten points. The team also got some help courtesy of Paige Walker, who scored 4 points along with 11 rebounds.
Prairie View's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Golden, they now have a losing record at 1-2.
Prairie View will be playing in front of their home fans against Eaglecrest at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Eaglecrest presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Prairie View in Colorado (Eaglecrest is ranked 12th, while Prairie View is ranked 65th). As for Golden, they will head out on the road to face off against Overland at 7:00 p.m. on Friday.
