Kennedy scaled the state rankings by moving to 452 from 481 this week, the biggest jump in Empire. The Fighting Irish climbed the ranks as a result of topping Pacifica 43-24.
Adding to the longest winning streak in the league this week, Yorba Linda beat Western 35-14. The victory was the fifth in a row for the team.
Valencia's offense was tough to stop this week, as it produced the league's top passer, rusher and receiver. Patrick Godoy threw for 85 yards and Jake Watkins had 46 yards receiving. On the ground Tom Torres contributed 150 yards. Chach Ben-Yisreal helped Valencia's passing attack out by catching 4 balls for 24 yards.
Godoy put up the best numbers in passing as the Tigers topped Tustin. Godoy's favorite target this week was Watkins, who caught 5 passes for 46 yards.
Valencia's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Tigers feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Godoy has thrown for 531 yards and 5 touchdowns this season, while Watkins has 23 catches for 249 yards.
An important game coming up in the league this week will be when Cypress takes on Kennedy. At the moment, the Centurions are in third, while Brit Johnson's team is in fourth.
Yorba Linda took down the Pioneers 35-14 last week, the largest margin of any game. Tim Holt in the win.
