Joliet Central not only won on Friday, but they posted their biggest win since March 21, 2024. They were the clear victors by a 9-2 margin over Bremen.
Joliet Central got a massive performance out of Andrew Nixon, who scored three runs and stole five bases while getting on base in all four of his plate appearances. The team also got some help courtesy of Fynn Bernhard, who went 2-for-3 with four RBI, one stolen base, and one run.

The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Saturday as neither team is afraid to steal. Crete-Monee has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Joliet Central struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 4.4 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
Everything went Crete-Monee's way against Joliet Central when the teams last played back in March of 2024, as Crete-Monee made off with a 9-1 win. The rematch might be a little tougher for Crete-Monee since the squad won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
