This season hasn't been kind to The Cypress Creek Bears, who are still winless after their ninth matchup. They took a 36-30 hit to the loss column at the hands of Freedom. Cypress Creek was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Freedom apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in October of 2022.
Quavion Mincey had a dynamite game for Freedom, picking up 83 receiving yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 89 yards and a touchdown on only eight carries. The team also got some help courtesy of Jordan Martinez, who threw for 164 yards and three touchdowns.
Cypress Creek's defeat was their sixth straight at home (dating back to last season), which dropped their overall record down to 0-9. As for Freedom, their win ended a three-game drought on the road and puts them at 2-7.
Cypress Creek will be playing at home against Timber Creek at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd. Timber Creek presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Cypress Creek in Florida (Timber Creek is ranked 246th, while Cypress Creek is ranked 519th). As for Freedom, they will head out on the road to face off against University at 7:00 p.m. on November 3rd.
