The Walton Raiders scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Tuesday. They really took it to Osborne for the full four quarters, racking up a 68-31 victory on the road. That looming 68-31 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for Walton yet this season.
Walton's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Graycen Ehlen, who scored 11 points along with three steals. The team also got some help courtesy of Alice Zhang, who scored five points along with four steals.
Despite the defeat, Osborne saw an underclassman step up: Brayden Adams scored 16 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Adams has scored all season.
Osborne struggled to get the ball back on offense and finished the game with only two offensive rebounds. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Walton pulled down 16 offensive rebounds.
Walton has been performing well recently as they've won three of their last four games, which provided a massive bump to their 9-11 record this season. As for Osborne, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Walton will face off against Cherokee at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Cherokee's favor is that they have posted big point totals in their last 12 contests. As for Osborne, they will head out on the road to face off against Kennesaw Mountain at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Kennesaw Mountain comes in on a streak of failing to score more than 22 points in their last five games, a trend the team is of course eager to reverse.
