Two dominant  signal callers in  Camden Rising and  Nolan Clawson are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Marion Center Stingers will square off against the Cambria Heights Highlanders at 7:00  p.m.  on Friday. Both squads will be entering this one on the heels of a big victory.
Marion Center will roll into the  contest after a wild two-game stretch: they only put up seven  points  two weeks ago, then bounced right back against Penns Manor  on Friday. The Stingers put the hurt on the Comets with a sharp  41-20 win. The final result isn't all that surprising considering the Stingers' considerable advantage  in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania football rankings (they are ranked 97th, while the Comets are ranked 312th).

Marion Center found their leader in sophomore  Rising, who rushed for 92 yards and three  TDs on only 13 carries, and also threw for 221 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only 12 passes. 80 of  Rising's passing yards were hauled in by Trent Slovinsky.
 Marion Center was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 230  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Cambria Heights entered their tilt with West Shamokin on Friday with five consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with six. They beat the Wolves by the very same score they won with in their prior game:  42-7. The  matchup was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  21-0.
Cambria Heights' win came from a few key players Marion Center will need to keep an eye on. One of the most notable was  Brayden DeArmitt, who picked up 128 receiving yards and one  score, and also punched in one  TD on the ground. That's the most  receiving yards  he has posted since back in August. Another player making a difference was  Kaiden Ivory, who threw for 217 yards and a pair of  touchdowns on only 13 passes.
 One reason for the win was Cambria Heights' imposing  defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. The team can thank two different players for their defensive prowess:  Colton Strong and  Roman Eckenrode, who each picked up 0.5  sacks apiece.
 Marion Center's victory bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Cambria Heights, their win bumped their record up to an identical 9-1.
 Marion Center won a  game that couldn't have been any closer  in their previous matchup  back in September, slipping by Cambria Heights 26-25. One of the biggest obstacles the team faced in that game was   Clawson, who rushed for 125 yards and a pair of  scores, and also picked up 41 receiving yards. Now that he's  got a second chance to win this matchup, will the Stingers still be able to contain  Clawson? There's only one way to find out.
