Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk is 1-9 against Ichabod Crane since May of 2021 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit  on Thursday. The Ravens will host the Riders  at 4:00  p.m. After  the two teams made easy work of their previous opponents,  one won't be so lucky on Thursday.
Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk will roll into the  contest after a wild two-game stretch: they didn't score any  runs  on Thursday, then bounced right back against Voorheesville  on Tuesday. The Ravens blew past the Blackbirds 10-1. The  win continues a trend for the Ravens in their matchups with the Blackbirds: they've now won five in a row.
 Dom Labella was a  major factor no matter where he played. He looked comfortable on the mound,   striking out 14 batters over  6.1 innings while giving up just one earned run off   one  hit. Those  14  strikeouts gave  him a new career-high. He was also big at the plate,  going 2-for-3 with one  double and one  RBI. That  double marked the first that  he has  hit this season.

 In other batting news,  the team  relied heavily on  Gavin Lochner, who  got on base  in all four of his plate appearances with three  runs, one  stolen base,  and one  double. Those  three  runs gave  him a new career-high.  Joseph Latter was another key player,  getting on base  in three of his four plate appearances with one  stolen base, one  run,  and one  RBI.
 Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk  hit smart and  finished the game with only two  strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Voorheesville struck out 15 times.
 Meanwhile, Ichabod Crane entered their tilt with Mohonasen on Wednesday with eight consecutive wins, and they'll enter their next game with nine. Their pitchers stepped up to hand the Warriors  an   11-0 shutout. The Riders might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by six  runs or more this season.
 Ichabod Crane pushed their record up to 14-2 with the  victory, which was their fifth straight  on the road. The  road  wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.6 runs on average over those games. As for Ravena-Coeymans-Selkirk, they now  have a winning record of 8-7.
