When it comes to explaining why Marie Philip lost, one person who can't be blamed is Xavier DeLeon. Despite the final result, he scored 31 points along with seven steals. DeLeon is absolutely dominating the steal category: he's posted at least two every time he's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Jeremy Novas, who scored seven points along with seven rebounds and two steals.
Marie Philip's defeat dropped their record down to 14-3. As for Boston University Academy, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.
Marie Philip will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against American School for the Deaf at 5:30 p.m. on January 24th. Hopefully American School for the Deaf focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 12 on January 8th. As for Boston University Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Waring at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
