Deweyville took care of business in their home opener (and then some) on Tuesday. They blew past the Burkeville Mustangs 66-38. With the Pirates ahead 40-16 at the half, the contest was all but over already.

Deweyville found their leader in sophomore Kamen Collins, who dropped a double-double with 31 points and 11 steals. Ross Rivers was another key player, putting up eight points and three steals.

Burkeville is on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-3.

Coming up, Deweyville will challenge Poolville at 3:00 p.m. on Thursday. The Pirates will need to watch out since the Monarchs have now posted at least 55 points every time they've taken the court this season. As for Burkeville, they will take on Zavalla in a tournament on Thursday.
