Basketball Recap: Varnum Piles Up the Points Against Bowlegs

Varnum had already won two in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 33 points) and they went ahead and made it three on Saturday. They claimed a resounding 91-26 win over the Bowlegs Bison. The Whippets have made a habit of sweeping their opponents off the court, having now won 15 games by 24 points or more this season.

Varnum pushed their record up to 22-2 with the victory, which was their third straight on the road. The wins came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 29.3 points over those games. As for Bowlegs, they have been struggling recently as they've lost seven of their last nine matchups, which has put a noticeable dent in their 9-14 record this season.

As of now, neither Varnum nor Bowlegs have any future games scheduled.
