Addi Abell was a major factor while hitting and pitching. She didn't allow a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been consistent: she hasn't given up more than one earned run in five consecutive appearances. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with one home run, three RBI, and one triple.
In other batting news, Washington County got a massive performance out of Lakin Mudd, who went a perfect 4-for-4 with three runs, two RBI, and one double. Those four hits gave Mudd a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Ariana Gonzalez, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI and two runs.
Washington County kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 19 hits. That's a new trend for them: they were averaging 5.5 hits per game earlier this season, but in their last 15 matchups they've averaged 13.2.
Fort Knox's defeat dropped their record down to 3-8. As for Washington County, their win bumped their record up to 6-7.
The pitchers for both teams better look sharp on Monday as neither team is afraid to steal. Fort Knox has been swiping bases left and right this season, having averaged 5.4 stolen bases per game. However, it's not like Washington County struggles in that department as they've been averaging 2.9 stolen bases. The only question left is which team can snag more.
