Meanwhile, Webster Groves unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Friday. They fell just short of Blue Valley Northwest by a score of 60-58. For those keeping track at home, that's the closest defeat Webster Groves has suffered yet this season.
St. Louis University's loss dropped their record down to 1-6. As for Webster Groves, their defeat dropped their record down to 9-4.
St. Louis University was able to grind out a solid victory over Webster Groves when the teams last played back in January of 2023, winning 55-43. The rematch might be a little tougher for St. Louis University since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
