After flying high against the Kashmere Fighting Rams last Friday, the Worthing Colts came back down to earth. Worthing received a tough blow on Friday as they fell 46-31 to Wheatley. Worthing lost against Wheatley in their previous head to head back in January, too, but the margin this time around was much wider than the 52-42 score last time.
Wheatley was led to victory by Jahannah Roberson and Autumn Breedlove. Roberson scored ten points along with six steals, while Breedlove scored 20 points along with five steals. Those 20 points set a new season-high mark for her.
Worthing's loss dropped their record down to 6-8-1. As for Wheatley, their win bumped their record up to 4-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Worthing will be staying on the road on Saturday to face off against Furr at 10:00 a.m. on December 23rd. As for Wheatley, they will take on Scarborough at 6:00 p.m. on Wednesday.
