The Heritage Huskies pushed their score all the way to 59 on Friday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They were the victim of a tough 84-59 loss at the hands of Millbrook. Heritage was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 44-23.
Despite the loss, Heritage still got an impressive performance from Jon Mwanda, who scored 23 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Mwanda has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryder Strand, who scored nine points along with five rebounds and two steals.
It was another big night for Colt Langdon, who dropped a double-double on 31 points and 13 rebounds for Millbrook. Langdon is crushing the point category: he's posted at least 15 every time he's taken the court this season. Jacob Lawton was another key contributor, scoring 16 points.
Heritage's defeat dropped their record down to 11-8. As for Millbrook, they pushed their record up to 12-7 with that win, which was their third straight at home.
Heritage will head out on the road to square off against Wake Forest at 7:45 p.m. on Tuesday. Heritage is facing Wake Forest at the right time seeing as Wake Forest is stuck on a nine-game losing streak. As for Millbrook, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Wakefield at 7:45 p.m. on February 6th. Millbrook has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 533 points over their last seven contests.
