Johnson gave their fans exactly what they wanted out of a home opener on Tuesday. They came out on top against the Hephzibah Rebels by a score of 2-0. The Panthers haven't had any issues with the Rebels recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive win against them.

Johnson easily took the first set, but they let things get interesting in the other. The match finished with set scores of 25-13, 25-17.

Hephzibah dropped their record down to 0-2 with the defeat, which was their sixth straight on the road dating back to last season.

Looking ahead, Johnson will head out to take on Burke County at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Hephzibah, they will square off against Richmond County Technical Career Magnet at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
