PIASA, Ill. -
Roxana (Ill.) leapt out of the gate with 22 points in the first quarter, setting the stage for a 50-0 victory over Southwestern (Piasa, Ill.) on Saturday.
After taking the lead on a
Nick Hand touchdown pass to
Charlie Sheets in the first quarter, the Shells were up 36-0 at the half.
Roxana expanded its lead to 50 points entering the fourth quarter. RHS scored two times in the third, including once on a
Jordan Arnel touchdown run.
Coming into the game the Shells had allowed 29.4 points per game this year.
When the two teams played each other last season, Roxana came away with a 17-14 victory.
