Baseball Recap: Dock Mennonite Has No Trouble Against Collegium Charter

Dock Mennonite got themselves on the board against Collegium Charter on Tuesday, but Collegium Charter never followed suit. They were the clear victors by an 11-0 margin over the Cougar. The victory continues a trend for the Pioneers in their matchups with the Cougar: they've now won six in a row.

Luke Burleigh and James Steinmetz did most of the damage at the plate: Burleigh scored a run while going 3-for-3, while Steinmetz scored a run while going 2-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Riley Kling, who scored two runs while getting on base in all three of his plate appearances.

Dock Mennonite always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .548. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Collegium Charter only posted an OBP of .300.

The win got Dock Mennonite back to even at 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Dock Mennonite will square off against Renaissance Academy at 3:45 p.m. on Monday. As for Collegium Charter, they will take on Jenkintown at 3:45 p.m. on Thursday. The two teams have had a bumpy ride up to this point with four consecutive losses apiece dating back to last season.
