While it was all tied up 34-34 at halftime, the Millbrook School Mustangs were not quite Ethel Walker's's equal in the second half on Saturday. Millbrook School fell 65-57 to Ethel Walker. Millbrook School's loss keeps them winless this season.
Ethel Walker's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Allison Hayes, who scored 20 points. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Hayes has scored all season. Taelor Arnold was another key contributor, scoring 18 points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Millbrook School's defeat was their fourth straight on the road dating back to last season, which bumped their record down to 0-1. As for Ethel Walker, the win (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 4-1.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Millbrook School will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Greens Farms Academy at 5:00 p.m. on January 17, 2024. As for Ethel Walker, they will stay at home for another game and welcome Hotchkiss School at 2:45 p.m. on December 16th.
