If the Lehman Catholic Cavaliers were feeling good off their 43-21 takedown of the Bethel Bees last Saturday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. Lehman Catholic was just a bucket shy of victory on Tuesday and fell 27-26 to Perry. The matchup was a 9-9 toss-up at halftime, but Lehman Catholic couldn't quite close it out.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Perry to victory, but perhaps none more so than Lexenna Lee, who scored nine points along with eight rebounds. Lee is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last three games she's played. Khaliah Luster was another key contributor, scoring 13 points.
Lehman Catholic dropped their record down to 5-11 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road. As for Perry, the victory (which was their fourth in a row) raised their record to 11-4.
Lehman Catholic will head out on the road to square off against Riverside at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Ohio (Riverside is ranked 558th, while Lehman Catholic is ranked 567th). As for Perry, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Cory-Rawson at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
