After three games on the road, Lancaster is heading back home. They will take on The Palmdale Falcons at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.
Last Friday, Lancaster suffered a rough 30-8 defeat at the hands of Antelope Valley.
Lancaster's defeat came about despite a quality game from Ymihr Byrd, who picked up 91 receiving yards and a touchdown.
Meanwhile, after a string of five wins, Palmdale's good fortune finally ran out on Friday. They were dealt a 67-13 loss at the hands of Highland. Palmdale was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-6.
Lancaster's defeat dropped their record down to 4-5, while Palmdale's bumped their own down to the opposite: 5-4.
Lancaster skirted past Palmdale 22-19 in their previous matchup back in October of 2022. One of the biggest obstacles trying to stand in the way of that victory was Palmdale's Damario Jackson, who picked up 135 receiving yards and two touchdowns, and also rushed for 97 yards and a touchdown on only 12 carries. Now that he won't be playing on Thursday, will it be that much easier for Lancaster to walk away with another win? Check MaxPreps.com after the match to find out.
